peace is so relative
their leaves reach out to brush your cheek
blue got a bad rap
the moon really wanted nothing to do with that spoon
are lines not boundaries?
feet are meant to dance
rain on windows is melancholy singing her song
honesty is public nudity
one little touch can change the whole world
art has shaped you

your heartbeat is the primal subconscious
flotsam is jetsam
my ghost haunts me
there is a person with your name on them
but that is neither here nor her
struggle up that stream
listen for your cheering section on the sidelines
continuous beauty is the best life we can strive towards
d minor is the sound of
chanting monks and sex moans
i love the way you lie
just dig it
we are nothing but shifting colors.

here i sit
trying to put what is running through me at the speed of light
into words.
these fingers trying to slow it down

nature is always stretching
there is deep comfort in candlelight
it really is about the little things
this moment is your God
dream of walking into a warm blue ocean
i love anything made by your hand
footfalls are mantras
orange wants to clothe you in blue silks
the smallest particles know all our secrets
all other living things work so much harder then we do
the stars steal ones breath

dirty blankets
wrap this flesh
in the secrets of the universe
breath of gods
slowly escape lips
mingling among air
heavy in earth
suffering synesthesia
fingers beginning
transmutation
to gold of saints
while body weighs
heavy nerves
electric with The Rites of Spring.

holding the one you love
is something that God can never do.

fall has come. you can see it in the leaves, the golden sunlight and the ripe fruit hanging off the trees near Mt. Hood. and the massive amount of hikers taking advantage of what may have been the last really warm day of the year. at least that’s how we have to look at it here. grab it, use it or your going to be kicking yourself for letting it pass by.
this year was my most active to date in the great Oregon outdoors. summer came late but i feel as though i took full advantage of it. most of July was spent out east in the Steens and the Wallowas. there wasn’t a single day of rain and hardly any clouds during the entire trip. i got my sun, even developed a little bit of tan. after coming back from the trip, we went out every weekend. camping, hiking, taking in a meteor shower, hugging redwoods, drinking great Oregon microbrews (Calapooia RIRArian, Walking Man IPA, Double Mountain Vaporizer, Devils Kriek and Sum a Dat, Terminal Gravity’s Cascade Imperial IPA were my standout favs) but i could go on about beer and hiking and sunshine….
thusly the “short” summer doesn’t seem to be bothering me much this year. plus i have vowed to get out snowshoeing this winter. why should i sit in the city, in the rain, listening to everyone bitch about the weather? i will go to where it is bright and wonderful. head out east again, this time taking in what Oregon has to offer and see it in an entirely new light. covered in SNOW! this is for my sanity’s sake. last year i got a bad case of seasonal depression. this year i going out to meet it. get wet in it. play in it. because no matter what i always have fun outdoors. i might be sopping wet but there will be a grin on my face and a finely crafted Oregon microbrew (my form of liquid sunshine) in my hand at the end of my day.
